Individual bouquet creation workshop at Openbonusplace
About the practice

What goes into a considered bouquet

A bouquet built around one person's preferences looks different from one assembled by formula. Stem count, colour temperature, foliage weight — each choice affects how the finished arrangement reads in a room.

Since 2015, Openbonusplace has run group sessions where participants work through these decisions together. Shared feedback during the process tends to sharpen individual judgment faster than working alone.

How a session is structured

Each group session follows a clear sequence so participants know what to expect and can focus on the work.

Before session
Flower selection brief
Participants receive a short prompt covering the occasion, colour preferences, and any flowers to avoid.
Material preparation
Stems are conditioned and tools are set up so the session starts without delay.
During session
Group critique rounds
Each arrangement is reviewed by the group at two points — after the initial build and again after adjustments.
Facilitated discussion
A facilitator guides feedback so it stays specific and useful rather than general.
After session
Written notes
Each participant receives a brief written summary of the feedback given on their arrangement.
