Floral Design Sessions

Bouquets built by hand, one stem at a time

Group sessions where participants learn to select, condition and arrange flowers into a personal bouquet — guided, hands-on, and finished in a single sitting.

What each session covers

Each offering is structured around a specific aspect of bouquet creation, so participants leave with a skill they can repeat independently.

Stem selection and conditioning

Participants learn to assess flower freshness, cut stems at the correct angle, and prepare foliage before arrangement begins. This stage determines how long the finished bouquet lasts.

Group / individual 60 min All skill levels

Colour and texture composition

Working with a curated selection of seasonal stems, participants practise pairing colours and contrasting textures to create visual balance without a rigid template.

Group 45 min Beginner-friendly

Hand-tie and binding technique

The hand-tie is the foundation of most bouquet styles. Participants build the spiral stem structure and bind it securely — a technique that takes minutes to learn and years to refine.

Group / private 50 min Technique-focused

Wrapping and presentation finish

Paper selection, folding and securing — the final stage gives participants a presentable, giftable bouquet and an understanding of how wrapping affects the overall look.

Group 30 min Finishing skills

How a session runs

Sessions follow a consistent structure so participants know what to expect and can focus on the work rather than logistics.

Floral arrangement process during a group workshop

Flower briefing

The facilitator introduces the flowers available that session — seasonal variety, origin, and any handling notes. Participants choose their stems from the shared selection.

Guided arrangement

Each participant builds their bouquet at their own pace while the facilitator moves through the group, offering corrections and suggestions without prescribing a single result.

Group review

Completed bouquets are shared with the group. Participants describe their choices, and the facilitator notes what worked and what could shift — a practical feedback loop, not a critique.

Take-home and care notes

Every participant leaves with their finished bouquet and a short written guide on keeping it fresh. Care instructions are specific to the stems used that day.
